Movement Mixtapes Flow w/ lora mccarville

A fun combination of yoga flow, movement and somatic practices that builds inner awareness to sensation and outer awareness to how the body desires to take shape, folding and unfolding in relationship to gravity, self and each other

For 20+ years, Lora has been teaching yoga, movement, mindfulness, and meditation. She's a facilitator of spaces, a gatherer of community, and a collaborative practitioner of somatics and movement in a field sometimes referred to as Cultural Somatics, an emerging approach to embodiment.

Lora is trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy, Mindful Schools, Movement for Trauma Recovery, Jungian Somatics, Cultural Somatics, improvisational movement, and somatic dance. She is a 500-hour E-RYT trainer, leading hundreds of students and teaching retreats around the world.

She's most inspired by her beloved partner, her children, and the love in her home, but it was her passion for accessible yoga that inspired the vision for Yoga Rocks the Park, the largest free weekly outdoor music and yoga event, spanning 10 years.

Still fueled by community connection, today you can catch her teaching somatic movement, Movement for Trauma Recovery, a public yoga class, leading retreats, on a dance floor, or working with her students in her private Rapid Resolution Therapy practice.
